Former Cocke County E-911 director pleads guilty to bringing drugs into jail

A woman who once served as Cocke County’s E-911 director pleaded guilty to bringing drugs into the county jail.

Kathy Cody Williams entering that plea after being accused of bringing Suboxone into that facility. The drug is used to treat opioid addiction but can be abused. 

She has been sentenced to four years in prison.

She was arrested in 2012 after a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation probe determined she misused her ability to access into the Tennessee driver’s license database. She was fired in 2013.
