A man charged with attempted first-degree murder after a shooting in Knoxville pleaded not guilty on Tuesday.
Victor Parson, 29, was a fugitive from Georgia and suspected of murder there. He then became the suspect in a shooting that happened earlier this month in Knoxville that injured a woman and a 2-year old girl.
Police say he later hit a 13-year-old boy with his car while trying to flee from police.
Parson made his first court appearance on Tuesday and his attorney entered a plea of not guilty. His next court date is set for May 23.
