You will find a mix of opinions following the immigration raid at Southeastern Provision in Grainger County.

“I agree with situation because I believe if people come over here they should do it the right way,” said Ryan Greenlee of Hamblen County.

“If this is the way they are going to get rid of the illegals they should do it a better way,” said Nathan Cockrum of Hamblen County.

While the families impacted are still waiting to find out what the future holds, St. Patrick Catholic Church in Morristown is offering many resources for the families impacted.

“It’s been emotional. It’s been overwhelming,” said Colleen Jacobs with St. Patrick Catholic Church.

The church is full of donations of food, clothing and various toiletries. They are also offering legal services for families

“We don’t know what’s going to happen here or how long things will take,” said Jacobs.

Jacobs said the support has been amazing and they will continue to offer help as long as needed.

“My message would be these people are and have been for a long time a part of this community. Morristown would not be the town it is without these people Their children many of them are U.S. citizens,” said Jacobs. “If you know the individual stories and recognize how hard working these people are you would have a different feeling. I think we are showing a beautiful example of a faith filled community can come together and although we do have may differences we are all God’s children.”
