A local middle school sent off students competing in the Special Olympics in style on Thursday.
Harriman Middle School made sure four students competing in the Special Olympics knew the whole school was behind them by organizing a school-wide send-off.
Students and teachers lined the halls to cheer and high five the athletes as they made their way to the school’s exit before departing for a bowling competition in Knoxville.
“Today, we have several boys representing HMS at the Special Olympics!! The whole school came out to send them off in style!! Good luck, Hunter, Kent, Carl, and Adrian!!!!” wrote the school on Facebook.
