Heroin, weapons, cash and more seized at narcotics raid in Blount County

A search warrant executed on a residence at Payne Hollow Road Thursday resulted in the arrest of one man along with the seizure of drugs, cash, guns and stolen property. 

Jessup Lee Estep, 32, of Maryville was arrested and charged with multiple felony offenses. 

BCSO stating that during the process of the search warrant, agents found and seized approximately a quarter ounce of heroin, approximately $8,000 cash, 12 firearms, two ballistic vests, a 2006 Mercedes Benz, a stolen dirt bike, and marijuana.

In addition, agents contacted DCS regarding a 22-month-old baby who lives in the residence.

According to BCSO, Estep was arrested and charged with  possession of a Schedule I controlled substance (heroin) for resale and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.

Estep is being held in the Blount County Correctional Facility on bonds totaling $160,000 pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court at 9 a.m. January 16, 2019.

Several agencies as well as the Blount County Sheriff’s Office contributed to the raid: Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong said the Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force, along with the Sheriff’s Office deputies and SWAT team, and with agents from TBI and ATF.
