If you’ve noticed that in recent weeks it’s been raining more often and more consistently on the weekends, you’re not wrong.
It is not your imagination. We have had some wet weekends so far in 2019. Just four of 19 weekends this year in East Tennessee have seen no traces of rain whatsoever.
The last weekend in February saw dire the flooding conditions throughout the region. March saw a couple of weekends in a row where we saw no rain but then that quickly changed in the month of April when it rained every weekend.
During the month of April and so far in the month of May it has also rained both weekends. Sunday, May 12 saw the record set for the most rain in Knoxville on that date in recorded history.
Hopefully, this weekend will begin to dry out.
