KCSO: 2 Knox County teens arrested for first-degree murder

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two teens Friday night and charged them with first-degree murder.

Sean Longmire, 18, and Elijah Dozard, 19, were wanted in connection with the murder of Bryson McGrotha on Halloween night.

According to reports, Longmire and Dozard met with two other people, Dallas Bellew and Bobby Hansard (who were arrested in Sevier County a week after the homicide), on the 2900 block of Smith Lane regarding a robbery that occurred earlier that morning.

Longmire, Dozard and two others drove down the road to confront the people involved in that robbery.

According to reports, Longmire and Dozard exited the vehicle and allegedly fired numerous shots at Bryson McGrotha and several others. One bullet struck McGrotha, killing him.

Both were located on the 3400 block of Sevier Avenue.

Both Longmire and Dozard are being held on a $1,000,000 bond. They were also arrested on drug charges.
