KCSO retail theft task force arrests two alleged Louisiana thieves in Knoxville

Local News

Knox County Sheriff’s Office’s Holiday Retail Crime Task Force arrested two suspects from Louisiana on Nov. 24 after receiving tips that the suspects were opening an account under an assumed identity.

According to KCSO, after conducting a traffic stop, officers located six Tennessee ID cards and one West Virginia ID card, all of which had an image that resembled the female suspect, but with the information of stolen identities. KCSO says evidence suggests the duo had been traveling from the Northeast for several days, back to Louisiana where they reside.

KCSO says in the trunk of the vehicle the two were driving, there was approximately $2,000 of fraudulently purchased merchandise.

Kylee Veneralla, 27, of New Orleans was charged with Criminal Simulation, Theft, Fraud, Identity Theft and Schedule I (ectasy) and arrested with a $40,000 bond.

Mason Garcia, 30, of Metairie, La. was charged with Theft and Schedule I (ectasy) and arrested with a $5,000 bond.

KCSO says both individuals have made bond.
