The Knoxville Fire Department was working a residential fire Monday afternoon in North Knoxville, according to its Twitter.

The residence is located in the 2700 block of Copeland Street.

According to KFD, units were dispatched for a report of a fire and when firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke coming form the attic vent and the eaves of the home.

“Fire crews quickly forced entry into the home and began extinguishing the flames, while additional manpower searched for any possible victims, with none found,” KFD’s press release states. “The fire was called in by neighbors who spotted smoke coming from the home. The homeowner was away at the time, only to return and find firefighters at the scene.”

Fire investigators are looking at possible cause for the fire, KFD says.

No injuries were reported.
