Tickets are becoming scarce for the masquerade-themed fundraising event hosted by Kingdom Design Ministries to support its mission to provide free room makeovers for children in need throughout the Knoxville area.
The fundraiser, called “Dancing With The Stars Masquerade” will take place Tuesday, Oct. 16 at the Clayton Center for the Arts in Maryville at 7 p.m. Prior to that, from 5-6:45 p.m. is “The Experience” where heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served as guests can watch cirque performances. The attire is French Quarter Masquerade Cocktail Couture.
The fundraising event is to assist KDM with their efforts to assist children who have experienced devastation in their young lives by giving them their “dream room” in room makeovers.
Children and families are chosen by KDM and are based on referrals. The rooms are donated to the family at no charge through donations, fundraising and partnerships. KDM looks at the family’s existing needs such as those who could otherwise not afford it, availability of KDM funds, medical prognosis of the child’s mental, emotional and spiritual well-being and the physical limitation of the child. Room are generally completed in seven to 10 days.
Several of the children already impacted by KDM will be in attendance of the event. Families are encouraged to attend. Tickets are available at kingdomdesignministries.org
