Knox County deputies release descriptions of 3 men they say tried to abduct infant

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is searching for three men they say attempted to take an infant this afternoon.

Around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, a woman told authorities three men grabbed her infant in the parking lot of Walker Springs Apartment. The mother told deputies she fought back and was able to get the child back.

Deputies say the men made off with the woman’s purse and other personal belongings.

They fled the scene in a white sedan with a black hood, red driver’s side door, and red trunk. The car had a loud exhaust wnd black rims.

Neither the mother nor the infant was injured.

One of the men is described as a Hispanic male around 20 to 30 years old, around 5’3″ to 5’6″, and 130 to 140 pounds. He had a medium build, short black hair and black eyes. He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans and had a cut over his left eye.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male around 30 to 40 years old, weighing 150 to 170 pounds, with a stocky build, back hair and a full beard. He was wearing a blue jean jacket with red flames on the back and gray jeans.

The third suspect is described only as a Hispanic male with black hair.
