Woman taken to hospital after crashing vehicle into a pool in Halls

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A scary sight in North Knox County, a woman’s car took a dive into a pool Friday afternoon.

First responders says an SUV crashed through the fence, and into the water.

The driver was rescued from her vehicle by homeowner Ron Sandifer.

Sandifer says that it appeared that the woman may have had a medical issue while driving. She was taken to the hospital.

Sandifer said a crane will have to be used to get the car out of the pool.

EARLIER: The Knox County Rescue Squad is on the scene of a vehicle in a pool at a residence in Halls.

The rescue squad tweeting this out just after 2:30 p.m. Friday.
