The Knox County Sheriff’s Department is asking for assistance to identify a man suspected of assault and theft who was caught on security footage.

KCSO responded to a reported robbery Friday afternoon at the Pilot gas station on the 7000 block of Strawberry Plains Pike.

One of the suspects in the robbery was caught on security footage. He is estimated to be between 5’2″ and 5’5″ and weigh between 220 and 230 pounds.

According to a KPD report, the suspect saw the victim using the ATM before following him back to the semi-truck parking area. A group of suspects then assaulted the victim and stole their money.

The suspects fled the scene in what is believed to be a tan Honda Odyssey van. The year of the vehicle is unknown.

Anyone with information relating to the incident should contact Detective Jason Moyers or the KCSO Major Crimes Unit at 865-215-3590 or Jason.Moyers@KNOXSHERIFF.ORG
