Knoxville church distributes free food to those in need

Local News

Overcoming Believers Church is helping feed the hungry in Knoxville. Starting Tuesday, they’re hosting a free “Love Thy Neighbor” food pantry truck outside their building on Harriet Tubman Street.

OBC Is giving out free food to anyone who needs it – no questions asked.

“I think it’s very important because you have a lot of people that are on fixed income and then have food stamps, but don’t have much in food stamps. And the food don’t go a long way if you don’t have much money or food stamps. So it’s very important for these people to get this,” said Jeffrey Sligh with OBC.

Overcoming Believers Church says they’ll host the food truck every Tuesday with church volunteers on site to distribute food.

Just go to the west entrance on Bell Street every Tuesday at 1 p.m.
