Knoxville crews rescue woman near Ijams Nature Center

Knoxville Fire Department crews worked Monday evening to rescue a woman at a quarry Ijams Nature Center in South Knoxville.

Spokesman Capt. D.J. Corcoran said the woman was rescued just before 9 p.m. The 911 call first came in around 7:22 p.m. for a woman who had fallen around 120 feet down an embankment at Meads Quarry.
