Knoxville Fire Department responded to a house fire early Thursday morning at what they believe was a private daycare.
KFD units responded to a residential fire at 1506 Ohio Avenue at 5:40 a.m Thursday. When fire crews arrived they found a small wood framed home, with smoke coming from the eaves.
No one was found inside or out of the structure which appeared to be used as private daycare, investigators said. The landlord relayed to fire officials that the property has been vacant rot for at least one year.
Flames were brought under control within the first fifteen minutes.
No injuries are reported and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
