Knoxville interstate temporarily blocked after tractor-trailer loses aluminum coils

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – All lanes of Interstate 640 West in Knoxville have reopened near Clinton Highway Thursday evening after some large aluminum coils fell off a tractor-trailer.

The incident was reported just before 6 p.m., according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation. One lane opened a short time later and all lanes were back open by 8:20 p.m.
