Knoxville man injured after struck by KPD cruiser on Hall of Fame Drive

A man was injured after he walked into the intersection of Hall of Fame and Magnolia Thursday night and was struck by a KPD police cruiser.

Knoxville police officer Austin McCoy was traveling northbound on Hall of Fame Drive at the intersection of Magnolia when Keyshawn Flack of Knoxville walked in front of him.

Flack was transported to UT Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Per City of Knoxville police, McCoy underwent drug and alchol testing following the incident.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
