Knoxville police search for person of interest in fatal hit-and-run

Knoxville police are searching for a person of interest in a fatal hit-and-run that occurred early Monday morning.

The Knoxville Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 55-year-old Juan Francisco, the driver responsible for a fatal hit and run that occurred on Monday, April 8. 

Knoxville police was called to a hit-and-run fatality involving a pedestrian in the 3600 block of Pleasant Ridge Road around 3:45 a.m. Monday. 

Debbie Burgess, 52, was killed when she was hit by a vehicle just outside Custom Foods of America.

Officers are looking for a late 90s or early 2000s full-size pickup truck, possibly a Dodge, with front end damage and a male driver.
