KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Investigators have identified the victim of a fatal shooting in East Knoxville that occurred Sunday evening.

Officers responded to the 4100 block of Catalpa Avenue around 6:30 p.m. where they found a man with a gunshot wound. The victim has been identified as 26-year-old J’Michael Dossett of Georgia.

Dossett was transported to UT Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. 

KPD said no suspects have been charged in connection to the shooting. An investigation by the KPD Violent Crimes Unit is underway.
