A LaFollette man is behind bars after the Campbell County SWAT team broke down his door and arrested him following a drug dealing investigation.
James Norris was taken into custody by police at his home on Glade Springs Road while he was being served a search warrant following a lengthy investigation into drug dealing.
Campbell County Sheriff Robbie Goins said a lengthy investigation led deputies to the home, where they found what is believe to be methamphetamine and marijuana. Goins said deputies also seized U.S. currency from drug trafficking.
According to the sheriff’s office, Norris has been booked into the Campbell County Jail 52 different times.
“We have to rid our community of this human pollution. We have been and are committed to ridding this nuisance, community by community.” said Goins.
The case will be presented to a Campbell County Grand Jury.
