Local News

Lincoln Memorial University unveiled a new statue at Duncan Law School on Tuesday, honoring their namesake.

The statue portrays President Abraham Lincoln in his younger years while he was studying law. The six-foot-tall marble pedestal, named “The Final Summation,” sits on the corner of the historic campus near the edge of downtown Knoxville.

This is the second historical statue sculptor Wayne Hyde has created in East Tennessee. He is also known for a statue of Sam Houston that sits in Maryville.
