A man was sentenced after a woman died in an attack by a dog in Bell County, Kentucky. 

Lorraine Brock Saylor, 66, died after being attacked by two pit bulls in December. Her husband, Johnny Saylor, was injured. 

Johnny Dale Lankford, 42, pleaded guilty to harboring a vicious animal. He was sentenced to one year at the Bell County Detention Center. 

Lankford was already in custody for charges he received two days before the attack. He faces charges for domestic violence, unlawful imprisonment and a bench warrant. 

One of the dogs was shot and killed after the attack. The other was put down by the Bell County Sheriff’s Department and Bell County Animal Shelter.
