KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – A new brewery, named after the Smokies, is under construction in West Knoxville. Albright Grove Brewing Company is set to open later this year on Sutherland Avenue.
Albright Grove is a popular trail in the Smoky Mountains.
Owner and brewmaster Nick Barron grew up and went to school in Knoxville. He got into home brewing as an undergrad and has been working on making his dream a reality ever since.
“I’ve been trying to make this dream come true for the last 15 years. Have my own brewery, make my own beer and put my own label out there,” she said.
Albright Grove will have a tasting room space along with an outdoor patio. The brewery will be in a separate building behind the property.
Barron says he hopes to open by July, but that could change depending on when construction wraps up.
You’ll be able to taste Albright Grove’s first brew later this month. The brewery will have a tent out during the Open Streets event on Sutherland Avenue on May 19.
