No injuries in Powell shooting

Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an alarm Friday night that resulted in a shot fired, according to KCSO.

KCSO saying when an officer arrived to the 3900 block of W. Emory Road, he encountered by who was later determined to be the homeowner, who is also a corrections officer with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, who opened the door and aimed a weapon at the officer.

The deputy fired one shot, but the homeowner was not hurt.

The investigation is ongoing.
