Oak Ridge police investigate vandalism at former museum site

Oak Ridge Police are investigating after recent vandalism at the former location of the American Museum of Science and Energy.

You can see the smashed glass at the building which is now abandoned. It happened a little after 9 p.m. Tuesday.

The interior of the building was also damaged. Even though the building is slated for demolition, it’s estimated to cost the city over $3,700 to re-secure it.

Anyone with any information or anyone who sees any suspicious activity around the building is asked to call Oak Ridge Police at 865-425-4399.
