Authorities have identified a drowning Ft. Loudon Lake drowning victim found Thursday.

Jonathan Beeler, 40, of Louisville, Tenn was found Thursday in Ft. Loudoun Lake after a fisherman found an unoccupied boat near Carl Cowan Park in Knox County.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency says the boat contained food, fishing gear and still had keys in the ignition. The discovery prompted a search by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Blount County Sheriff’s Office and the TWRA.

A TWRA investigator found the body just before 7 p.m. using an underwater remote operated vehicle. Beeler was not wearing a life jacket and appears to have drowned.
