Principal warns of possible threat at Bearden High School

Bearden High School and Knoxville police officials are investigating a possible threat posted online regarding Bearden High School on Wednesday.

Jason Myers, principal, sent out a voice message alert to parents.

WATE obtained the voice recording, in which Myers states: “I call today to let you know school security and law enforcement have been conducting an investigation into a possible threat that was posted on social media. As you know, the safety of your children and our staff is our primary concern, and we will take all precautions necessary to protect the,. I will update families as information becomes available.”

It was not made clear who could be behind the posting, or if it stemmed from a single person.
