Rural Metro extinguishing a house fire in Strawberry Plains

Local News

Rural Metro responded to a structure fire in Strawberry Plains early Sunday morning.

Units arrived to a house on Carter School Rd. at 7 a.m. They arrived within three minutes and to find that the home was filled with smoke and an appliance in the crawl space was on fire.

They’re reporting they used less than 100 gallons of water to extinguish the fire, and that the house suffered some smoke damage.

All occupants were able to evacuate the home without injury before units arrived, and they’re being relocated until the cleanup from the damage is done.

Rural Metro is still investigating the cause of this fire.
