It’s March, which means that prom season is just around the corner and “Say Yes to Prom” has returned to Knoxville.
The program gives about 200 students from four high schools the opportunity to have a wonderful prom experience they may not otherwise have been able to afford.
“When you’re in something you feel good in your confidence is boosted. But not only that. It’s just a time to celebrate simply because you’re feeling good,” said Monte Durham with “Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta.”
Macy’s donated 3,000 dresses and Men’s Wear House donated all of the rentals to tuxedos. The program is free to students.
This is the eighth year of the program and the second time it’s been in Knoxville.
