Here are some scenes from the Lucky Kidney Run on Saturday morning. 

It gave participants the chance to walk or run in support of the East Tennessee Kidney Foundation. The event will be part of the non-profit group’s Shamrock Fest.

There were 6K and 2K courses in downtown Knoxville and the 4th and Gill Neighborhood.

Knox Shamrock Fest is a two-day event that began Friday and continues from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today on Market Square downtown.

The Shamrock Fest includes music, live concerts, inflatable bounce houses, slides and an obstacle course, a carousel, face painting, balloon twisting, midway games, prizes, popcorn, cotton candy, hot dogs, drinks and snacks, vendors and other fun activities for kids of all ages. For attendees 21 years or older, green beer and Guinness, along with other tasty Irish concoctions, will be available.
