Charges pending in fatal Sevier County crash

SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — A single-vehicle crash has left one person dead, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The crash took place at 4:46 p.m. Thursday on Katom Road in Sevier County.

Brandon Brunelle, 25, of Cosby, Tennessee was driving the vehicle west on Katom Road when the vehicle left the roadway to the right. According to THP, the car struck a row of 2-ton concrete blocks. It then went airborne and came to a final uncontrolled rest on private property.

Frank Douglas, 54, of Cosby, Tennessee was killed due to the wreck. According to the preliminary report, there are charges pending against Brunelle.
