SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – The Sevierville Fire Department officially opened its newly built headquarters Friday.
The new $6 million headquarters is off Dolly Parton Parkway; housing two engines, a rescue vehicle, a ladder truck and technical rescue equipment.
There’s also a training classroom.
The new facility has been built to be structurally sound for the next 70 years and has plenty of room for growth. It’s also able to withstand 120 mile-per-hour winds.
We’re told the old headquarters will now serve as SFD Station No. 3.
