Suspect in Athens shooting, attempted robbery turns himself in

A suspect has turned themselves in relation to an Athens attempted robbery that led to one man hospitalized and an endangered child alert being issued.

Treaven Moses, 19, turned himself in in Bradley County after the investigation into the incident had lead to a warrant for his arrest being issued. 

Clinton Cody, 56, was shot outside of an Athens Red Roof Inn before multiple suspects fled in a 2006 Ddoge Magnum. The group’s previous last known location was in Riceville. 

Devin Skye Hester, 17, originally made headlines when Athens Police issued an endangered child alert after she was seen in surveillance footage of the suspects of the attempted robbery. After interviewing people thought to be involved in the attempted robbery, she was briefly classified as a suspect before turning herself in to authorities.

Moses faces attempted robbery charges and violating of weapons laws.
