Suspected thieves steal thousands worth of golf carts from Sevierville business

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - A Sevierville business owner is asking for help tracking down suspected thieves he says stole items worth tens of thousands of dollars.

No Limit Carts owner Mike Dunn told us someone robbed the business last month, walking away with 10 pricey golf carts. Dunn is now offering a $5,000 reward for any information on who did this.

"We knew they took 10 custom carts valued at over $10,000 each, so that was a hard hit for us here at No Limit Carts," Dunn said. "I definitely think somebody has had to come on, they've had to look around and make an escape plan, how they were going to do it. It was somebody that I think was locally or came through here a lot to figure it out."

The suspected thieves knew how to stay hidden, Dunn said they covered up his cameras for about two hours.

"To take 10 carts, yes it was shocking that somebody would be that brave," Dunn said.

Now, he is offering a $5,000 reward for any information that may lead to an arrest, and in the meantime, he's being more cautious, with plans to invest more money into security.

"The people that done it are still out there, we have no word about it, and if you're watching this just please help get involved and let us know if you know anything," Dunn said.

The Sevierville Police Department tells us the investigation is still ongoing. Tips, of course, are always welcome. If you have any information, give police a call: 865-453-5506, or you can call No Limit Carts at  865-680-5479.
