GALTINBURG (WATE) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is creating a hotline to help families find their missing loved ones in East Tennessee.

People can report missing individuals that they believe are in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge or Wears Valley. The hotline is 1-800-TBI-FIND. Giving as much identifying information (names, phone numbers, vehicle information, last known place) will be helpful. TBI will give the missing person information immediately to law enforcement in the area.

On Wednesday, TBI received around 100 phone calls and are working on 70 leads. The agnecy asks for people who reported missing people to let TBI know if their loved ones were found. No postitive identifications on deceased victims have been determine. Their remains were sent to medical examiners.

TBI asks people to not call the hotline to find out about personal properties.

TBI says Michael Reed has been in contact with area law enforcement on the whereabouts of his wife and two daughters. The Gatlinburg resident last spoke to his wife on Monday when she was flames across the street from their house.Related: Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge fire information
