Tennessee Smokies mourn passing of longtime usher

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – The Tennessee Smokies are mourning the loss of a longtime usher at the Kodak ballpark.

The team announced Friday, Jan. 15, that “Hoppy” has died.

Fans took to social media to express their surprise and grief, saying the “kind-hearted” man always took the time to speak with everyone, especially students.
