Thieves target South Knoxville small business

Local News

A local small business hopes someone will recognize two women who were caught on surveillance video stealing, and they’ve done it before.

Good People shared the security footage from two recent incidents, four days apart, showing the two making off with pants, shirts, incense holders and more. They were apparently grabbing anything they could fit in their bags.

Workers at the new South Knoxville store hope these shoplifters are caught soon.

“You know we’re just starting out and the owners sacrificed a lot. It’s not easy to get a small business retail store up and running, so we’re on our fourth month and we’re just now seeing profits, Especially with the holidays. and for someone to come and take that much, it really does affect us,” said assistant manager Ashley Helton.

The store’s owners say they’ve been contacted by other nearby businesses who have had trouble with these women as well.

Good People filed a report with the Knoxville Police Department.
