A report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol says if a woman killed in an Anderson County crash had been properly wearing her seat belt, it might have saved her life.

The report says Betty Webster, 61, of Oliver Springs, was going east on Laurel Road in Clinton just after 10 a.m. Thursday when her vehicle drifted off the side of the roadway and struck a culvert. The car went airborne and then hit a tree, flipping and coming to a rest on its top.

THP says Webster was wearing her seat belt, but the shoulder strap was worn under her left arm instead of across her shoulder.
