Tree knocks out power in Lenoir City

Around 5,500 people in Lenoir City were without power on Monday morning after a tree fell on a line that feeds a substation.

Lenoir City Utility Board officials say a tree fell on the Fort Loudon substation transmission line. The tree was removed shortly after noon on Monday. 

Power was set to be restored by 1 p.m.
