The driver of a U-Haul truck is safe after the cab of it caught fire as the truck was passing through Knoxville on Monday night.
The fire was reported just before 7 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 near the West Hills exit.
The Knoxville Police Department reports the driver was able to get out of the cab before it went up in flames. The driver was able to move his belongings into another truck and continue his journey.
The incident caused some traffic backups in the eastbound lanes.
