The University of Tennessee says it is working with students who cannot get federal forms related to their financial aid because of the government shutdown.

UT officials say the US Department of Education provided guidance on Wednesday afternoon and they are now communicating with affected students.

“The university is committed to supporting students who are unable to obtain necessary federal documents to ensure their coursework isn’t disrupted,” read a news release from the university.

Students with questions are asked to call One Stop Student Services at (865) 974-1111.
