UT fraternity under interim suspension after reported rape

A University of Tennessee fraternity is under an interim suspension after a report of a rape at the fraternity house.

Vincent Carilli, vice chancellor for student life, says the unnamed fraternity was suspended as of December 1 and there is a restriction of guest or non-resident access to the fraternity house.

The university says it will work with the UT Police Department and initiate an investigation through the office of Student Conduct and Community Standards to see if there wer any violations of the Code of Conduct that can be attributed to the student organization.

No other information was immediately available.
