KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Students waited months to move in to The Standard at Knoxville and most already have, but even still, they’re frustrated with management about the state of their apartments. Scuffed walls, unfinished balconies and sloppy tile work are just some of the signs these spaces aren’t yet complete.
“They have the worst communication with us, like last night at 9:08 p.m. they told us to sign up for KUB and it was due tomorrow. So we had to sign up,” said Meg Tucker, a resident at The Standard.
Tucker says her apartment was supposed to have a balcony, they were supposed to have a shelf above their washer and dryer units, and she was supposed to have insurance for parking in The Standard’s parking lot. “My roommates rock, but all of the maintenance issues is a disaster and dealing with that is such a headache,” Tucker said.
Like their neighbor, Will Falk, these residents have filed maintenance requests with management that have yet to be completed.
“They still don’t have a projected move in date for my floor. It says four days after the seventh floor which is supposed to be next week.”
