Volunteer Assisted Transportation celebrates 10 years

Volunteer Assisted Transportation, a program that helps provide rides for seniors and people with disabilities, celebrated a milestone on Thursday – 10 years of service to the Knoxville community.

Volunteers drive seniors to anything from doctor’s appointments to the grocery store. 

Over the past 10 years, the program has grown to include 192 volunteers, helping more than 950 people in Knox County with more than 50,000 trips.
