Volunteers were out and about Friday morning to deliver Mobile Meals as part of the 17th annual March for Meals initiative, and this year they had help from their new app.
Volunteers can download the app on their phones or tablets. It helps them report changes to client conditions in real time and communicate with staff.
Officials say in the last eight weeks, they’ve already had eight emergent cases reported.
At the end of the day, they say the Mobile Meals program is all about the people and making sure seniors are taken care of.
