Volunteers ‘Rise Against Hunger’ packaging 40,000 meals for those in need

More than 200 volunteers from Fountain City United Methodist Church ‘Rise Against Hunger’ Saturday morning by packaging 40,000 meals.

The event began around 10 a.m. As kids and adults alike gathered to help those who need it.

The thousands of meals that were packaged will be sent to some of the most impoverished nations in the world. 

This is the church’s fifth year doing this event.

This event is the hands-on part of FCUMC’s annual Missions Celebration weekend learning about and celebrating the local, national, and global missions FCUMC supports.
