Wanted man now in Blount County Sheriff’s Office custody

 A man wanted by the Blount County Sheriff’s Office after he ran from a traffic stop Friday is now in custody.

Sheriff officials saying Owens was wanted on drug charges as well. 

Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong said James Daniel Owens, 33, is in custody in the Blount County Correctional Facility. 

Deputies took Owens into custody Monday evening at a residence on Galyon Road.

“Thanks to everyone who assisted in his apprehension,” BCSO personnel said.
