A police chase Thursday ended with two men being detained and charged on multiple offenses.
Claiborne County deputies called the incident a high-speed chase that spanned the county; beginning in Speedwell and ending in Harrogate on Highway 63.
Deputies detained Jeffery Drinnon Jr., 38, of Mooresburg and Adam Rhea, 32, of Morristown.
Law enforcement also recovered a semi-automatic Ruger gun, methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia, and three pounds of marijuana.
Drinnon, the driver in the high-speed chase, is facing numerous charges, including reckless endangerment, evading arrest, and felony drug charges while Rhea is charged with aggravated assault on an officer, possession of a firearm and other drug charges.
