This week’s Young Williams Animal Center Pet of the Week is a 5-month-old puppy named Ren. Ren is a mix of several different breeds and was just surrendered last week.
Puppies can be a lot of work. They need to learn to sleep through the night, be crate trained, potty trained and leash trained, but they’re also a lot of fun.
Young Williams says cat naps are a real thing and they’ve now implemented “quiet hours” every day from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. The shelter environment can be stressful, especially with so many people coming through the shelter during the day. All the lights in the shelter are turned off for an hour and quiet music is played so the animals can take naps.
If you want more information about Ren just give them a call (865) 215-6599. You can also check Draco and all the other animals out at their website, https://www.young-williams.org.
